Virus Shield, an android app in Google Play Store was found out to be fake. The app was sold in Google Store for $3.99 and over 10,000 people have already downloaded the app.
Google has already made some effort in screening applications with malware or viruses. However the Virus Shield app was not a malware or virus, so it was accepted by Google Play Store.
The good news is that Virus Shield has already been removed from Google Play Store.
