Short Film : Ronny & I

Ronny & I is a short film about a gay guy who comes out to his straight best friend.  The story is soooo sweeeeet and romantic! You just want to grab someone and cuddle!

I want to correct myself.  In my previous statement I said this was not based on real life.  It turns out this film was based on a true story!

Spoiler alert...the straight friend Ronnie in actual life got married (to a girl) and now has children in Israel.

Short Film : Dirty Laundry

I love short films.  Very simple, cute and direct to the point.  Two guys meet in a laundry shop and flirts with each other.

Film : Hawaii

Finally someone uploaded this film on YouTube and with English subtitles!  Hawaii was released in 2013.  It is a gay Argentinian film by independent film maker Marco Berger.

Martin seeks for a temporary job at Eugenio's house. When they recognize to be childhood friends, Eugenio offers him work for the summer. A power and desire game starts and their relationship grows beyond their friendship.

Film : The Street

The Street is a British gay film about a married construction worker named Charlie who falls in love with his gay straight acting co-worker, Tom.  A must see!  The film is divided into 4 parts.

Short Film : El Inicio (The Beginning)

Gringo and Rafa are two friends who are going through adolescence.  One hot summer afternoon they spend time together enjoying the countryside.  However, in one of their innocent games something happened unexpectedly.  Would this be the beginning of a blossoming friendship? or the beginning of the end of their friendship?

Short Film : Oliver

Synopsis  : A short film about Oliver, who is running for student body president as the first openly gay candidate at the school. When his "in the closet " boyfriend, Jake, decides to run against him at the last minute, Oliver wants him to quit the race.... or else!

Film : Brokeback Mountain

When Brokeback Mountain was released in 2005, it was according to Oprah "revolutionary".  It won several film awards including the Oscars.

The cinematography of the movie was pretty amazing, the film score was the best and the actors gave life to the characters.  To the surprise of many the film was directed by Ang Lee who also directed movies like the Hulk, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon and most recently the Life of Pi.

This version has an English subtitle which is helpful to people who have hearing issues.

Movie : The Object of My Affection

I love this movie.  It was the first gay movie I have seen that had a cast of A-list Hollywood celebrities.  You just fall in love with the characters.

The Object of My Affection is a 1998 romantic comedy film, adapted from the book of the same title by Stephen McCauley, and starring Jennifer Anniston and Paul Rudd. The story concerns a pregnant New York social worker who develops romantic feelings for her gay best friend, and the complications that ensue. (taken from Wikipedia)

Film : Just a Question of Love

I finally found a full movie version of this film in Youtube.  I love this French film.  Don't worry it has English subtitles.  The story is about a young college student named Laurene who falls in love with Cedric, a mature openly gay guy.  Laurene had to deal with his parents who are homophobic and are unaware of his sexuality.

When Laurene told his father..."Its not a question of gay or straight, its just a question of LOVE"  I melted.  All that really matters is you love that person whether he is gay or not.
