Another landmark for DiscreetBai Blog!  The blog has finally reached the 100,000 page view mark!

Upcoming DiscreetBai 12th Anniversary

Unknown to many, the name Discreet Bai has been used since the year 2000.  I basically coined the name which was derived from two unlikely words, Discreet and Bai. You can probably say that DiscreetBai established the online gay community in Cagayan de Oro.

I used to celebrate the anniversary of DiscreetBai on November 30 but I was not sure of the date.  The only date I could recall was the day I registered the name DiscreetBai and that was on February 2000.  So, a few years ago I decided to change the anniversary celebration to February.

DiscreetBai's 12th anniversary is fast approaching and I hope I can celebrate it with you all.  If you have any suggestions, please a comment.  I would like to hear from you guys.  Thanks!

The old DISCREETBAI Forum was a great site.  Unfortunately it was removed by Webs.com.  People enjoyed it so much that some developed friendships and romance?  Hopefully I could find a forum site that can be integrated here in the blog.  If you have some suggestions, post a comment here.

Finally after years of talking about it, I will be using the domain name DISCREETBAI.com for this blog.  Hopefully after the change, DISCREETCDO.blogspot.com will redirect the web traffic to DISCREETBAI.com.  I just hope I won't screw up in changing the blog settings or else...

I do not understand why people think that if you are an advocate against HIV/AIDS or promoting safe sex, you have the disease.  Let me emphasize this, I don't have the disease ( I am HIV negative according to my test), so with other doctors and people who are on the front line in battling this disease.  You don't have to get the disease to understand it.  In fact the best people to promote safe sex are those who engage in gay sex yet are HIV negative like me :)  So, join me in this fight against HIV / AIDS.  Do not wait for your love ones or friends to get it.

So, I am encouraging everyone to join me in this fight against HIV / AIDS.  Get a HIV / AIDS test.  Do not wait for your love ones or friends to get the disease.

Here are some U.S. gay terms or gay lingo I got from the the book entitled, The Unofficial Gay MANual by Kevin Dillalo and Jack Krumholtz.  I also added some new terms.  The terms are arranged alphabetically for your convenience.  If you have some suggestions, please post a comment.  Thanks!

• Auto-fellatio (Self suck) - the act of sucking ones own penis
• Bareback - engaging in anal sex without the use of condoms
• Bear - refers to a man who is hairy or hefty.
• Bisexual - someone who prefers both man and woman
• Butch - a gay man or lesbian woman who acts very masculine
• Bottom - anal sex position, the guy who gets penetrated in the anus
• Boy toy - refers to a young guy for fling, company or escort
• Buffed - a fit guy with muscles
• Closet - a gay guy who remains in the closet or keeps his true sexuality a secret
• Chub Chaser - a person who prefers chubby or fat guys
• Come out - to accept your homosexuality and or stop hiding the fact that you are gay
• Cruise - to gaze at someone to get his attention or look for guys
• Cum - semen
• Cut - someone who is circumcised
• Drama Queen - a person who loves to stir up a situation and thrives on drama
• Daddy - matured or older gay man
• Discreet - someone who keeps his true sexuality a secret
• Down Low – straight men who enjoys gay sex. The term is commonly used among African-American men
• Effeminate - a gay man who is very feminine
• Fag Hag - a straight woman who spends a lot of time with gay men
• Family - refers to a gay person or part of the gay community
• Fetish - an unusual, sometimes bizzare sexual attraction to a certain act or object
• Fellatio (Blow job) - scientific term for sucking a mans penis
• Fisting (Handballing) – sexual activity that involves the inserting a hand into the vagina or rectum.
• Gaydar - derived from the words Gay and Radar.  It is ones ability to detect if a person is gay or not.
• Gay Pride - a gay march held every last weekend of June.  It commemorates the Stonewall (New York, USA) gay riot of June 28, 1969.  This marked the start of the modern Gay Rights Movement.
• Gym bunny - an effeminate gay man who has a great body from working out
• Lover - long time partner
• LGBT - Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender
• Nelly - effeminate.
• Openly gay (Open) - someone who does not hide his sexuality or being gay
• Rainbow Flag - adopted as the symbol for the entire gay movement and community
• Safe Sex - use of condoms and other measures to prevent STD
• Significant other - lover or boyfriend
• Sister - fellow gay man
• Size Queen - a gay man who is particular about penis size
• Son - a young gay man
• Spit - some one who spits out semen during oral sex
• STD - Sexually Transmitted Disease
• Straight - a heterosexual or "normal" man or woman
• Straight-acting (Butch) - a gay man who acts and looks like a straight guy
• Stocky - a gay man who has a large but compact body frame
• Swallow - someone who swallows semen during oral sex
• Top - anal sex position, the guy who penetrates the anus
• Twink - a young guy who has a slim body frame
• Versatile - anal sex position, a guy who can either be a top or bottom

More Blog Features and Issues Resolved

Finally resolved the Popular Posts issue in this blog.  Before you can only see one posted article and nothing else.  Now you can view the 10 most popular posts or articles in this blog.  The downside....the new code does not allow thumbnails.  Well, it is better than nothing at all.

I also added a chat feature in the blog using Meebo.  I am not yet familiar with Meebo but let's just try it for now.  If you can suggest a better alternative, post a comment.  I would like to hear from you guys.

Boarding House Swindler

For those staying in a boarding house or rented apartment with a room mate, you better read this.  Last August 25, I was watching TV Patrol Northern Mindanao (as reported by Lorenzo Luzon) and they reported on a guy who rents a room in a boarding house and then steals from his boardmates.  He has basically stolen laptops and other stuff in the boarding house.  He even racked up a huge debt from a sari-sari store.  The guy goes with the name Julian Perry Oga which I doubt is his real name.  His victims made a Facebook account so people would be aware of his modus and face.

For those of you who doubts the veracity of this information, here are links for your reference.  Syaro ang TV Patrol Northern Mindanao video di pa gyud katuohan.  If you see this guy, immediately call the nearest police station and provide them these links.  He might have already changed his appearance to avoid detection.  This incident has already been blottered in the Macasandig Police Station 9.

New Blog Features

I am still trying to learn the features of this blog.  Hopefully I can add more to make this blog informative and interactive like the former DISCREETBAI.webs.com website.  Of course I plan to add a chat feature but still could not find the right one.  I used ShoutOut before in DISCREETBAI but it was a bit basic.   There is now a Reaction box at the bottom of the article.  You can now give your reactions if you Like or Unlike the posted article.   If you have suggestions or comments, I would like to hear from you.  Salamat sa inyong tanan.

Barangay Gwapo 2011 Winner

Finally found some information on who won the Barangay Gwapo 2011.  Well, I don't really care but for those who might be interested, the winner is Ahmad Papandayan of Barangay Lumbia.  He is a student of Xavier University.  Which reminds me, Happy Eid ul Fitr to all Muslims!

Hallo Club Entertainment Bar

Me and my friends recently went to Hallo Entertainment Bar, a gay strip club located in the former Vacation Hotel Building along Ramon Chaves corner Corrales Streets (near Zaxs and Bahay Kubo).

We were expecting a "special guest" of sorts since it was the fiesta season in Cagayan de Oro.  To our disappointment, there was none.  In fact the dancers were so disappointing that we did not stay long in the bar.  I am not sure if their main dancers were absent and they had to force their messenger and janitor to dance on the stage.

They have an entrance fee of 90 Pesos in which they would collect after you ordered a beer (90 Peso beer).  Take note if you give 100 Pesos, mostly likely they wont give back the change.
