Ohad, the protagonist, is serving in the Israel Defense Forces as a Hesder student. He has not told anyone that he is gay.  He tries various ways of dealing with the conflict between his religious beliefs and his sexual orientation.  He is told to spend forty days fasting and repenting to help rid him of his homosexual inclinations.  He does this and believes himself to be cured.

After this, his best friend, Nir, returns from leave. Ohed is torn between his homosexuality and his religion. The film deals with the struggles Ohed faces when it comes to loving God and loving Nir.

Honestly I do not have any sympathy for both Kris and James.  James in the first place should have never married Kris Aquino.  Before James and Kris got married, the parents and relatives of James Yap were interviewed by ABS-CBN.  They were not enthusiastic for the new couple.  The entire Yap clan were not sure of the marriage. They knew that if something went wrong James Yap would pay the price as what happened to Kris Aquino's former relationships with Philip Salvador and Joey Marquez.

Call boy in Limketkai

For the past weeks I see this call boy (also known to some as Mike or Michael) roaming around Limketkai Mall every afternoon.  As usual he wears a cap and a stripped shirt.

Be careful of this guy as he is known to swindle his clients.  He would offer you a rate of 300 Pesos but after or during sex it becomes 3,000 Pesos.  Since the victims refuse to file criminal charges against him, he remains free to victimize other gay people.

Gays and Manners

I felt bad for the handsome guy who was harassed by two gay guys in Limketkai Mall.

The gay guys stared at the handsome guy like he was a criminal to a point that their faces were already in front of the guy.  After that they started hissing at him, trying to call his attention while he was walking away.  I could see the handsome guy was upset about it.

Those gay guys owed the handsome guy an apology.  Binastos naman na.  Imagine if your sister or mother was being hissed (sit-sitan) and stared at by a stranger who would then try to make advances at them.  Dili ka ba masuko ug malain ana?

Gays in general are being labeled as rude, loud and immoral.  However I do not think all gay men are like that.  Naa rana sa tao, sa iyang batasan.  If your parents did not teach you good manners and right conduct then I would not be surprised if you stare at people and hiss at them like a bystander.

Remember, respect begets respect.  If you want to be respected by people around you, then be respectful to others.

Arno Morales Arrested for Sex Video Upload

How to deal with rude people

You’re familiar with the scenario: you’re shopping at the mall or you’re filing papers somewhere and the attendants or security guards are grumpy and act like you’re making their life a living hell. Your first instinct is either to lash out at them for their rudeness or duck your head and just meekly allow them to walk all over you, then complain about it on Facebook or Twitter.

Shouldn’t there be a better way to deal with this situation? You don’t want to feel like a doormat—or worse, you don’t want to be caught on video screaming your lungs out asking whether you are bearing false witness against your neighbors. Etiquette expert Lia Bernardo has some advice on how to deal with rudeness.

1. Do not be rude back.

As tempting as it may seem to throw some nastiness back in their faces, it is a waste of time and energy. Plus, it can ruin your day. “Just don’t give them your business,” Bernardo says. “If you are not getting the proper service, it is your right to walk out of the restaurant. If a sales girl is rude, find another sales girl or walk out of the store. Why should you waste your time and hard earned money in a store that does not serve you well?”

2. Give importance to the people in authority if you want to get your way.

Sometimes, you find yourself being stopped from doing something by a security guard (in Bernardo’s case, she wasn’t allowed to hand carry a certain item into an airplane even if she wasn’t breaking any hand-carry rules). Instead of blowing your top, because this will just make you lose self-control, find a way to compromise.

“You can argue till you are blue in the face, but the person in authority will always win because they hold the power,” explains Bernardo. “So the polite and practical way is to compromise and give them what they want. All they want is importance, so give that to them.” Explain why you need to do whatever it is they aren’t allowing you to do, then ask them what you can do to make it possible, but the whole time, remain polite.

Bernardo adds that you must thank them and even apologize for any misunderstanding. In the end, they might even smile because you gave them what they needed to feel—important—and you raise your chances of getting what you want.

3. Remember that you are in control.

“You have power because you can turn this into a win-win situation,” says Bernardo. “Why rant, why be a doormat, why lose your cool when you can create and turn the situation around and make it pleasant for all?”

A problem may arise because some people find it hard to let go when they know they are right, but Bernardo says, “Sometimes it is easier to be peaceful than it is to be right. It is okay to make the other person feel good for as long as you get what you want in the end.” Keep your eye on the bigger picture.

4. Do not be a doormat.

Don’t take rudeness quietly and just give in to whatever the rude person is telling you to do. You can still stand up for yourself peacefully and politely. “Explain kindly and gently where you are coming from and why,” suggests Bernardo. “No matter how frustrated or angry you become, giving in to the anger will not solve anything. Remember, you cannot control how others react but you can always control how you react.”

5. Tongue-lashing just leads to more tongue-lashing.

Some people believe that a good tongue-lashing will teach a rude person a lesson, especially if they have not been educated or will not recognize reason. However, Bernardo doesn’t agree: “Find a way out. If they are rude, leave. If you cannot leave, compromise. People are rude because they are mad at themselves and no amount of tongue-lashing will teach them a lesson, they will only become more rude and you become the bad guy.”

No to illegal drugs!

One thing I hate the most is the use of illegal drugs.  In my lifetime, I have never used illegal drugs.  I do not even smoke.  My situation has forced me to avoid these vices.  I have health problems since childhood, so I have no choice but to avoid smoking and excessive drinking of liquor.

If I have indulged myself in these vices, I would be dead by now.  Besides smoking and drinking too much can age you faster.  So if you want to look good and stay healthy, avoid these vices.

Baby cured of HIV

A baby with the virus that causes AIDS was given high doses of three antiviral drugs within 30 hours of her birth.  Doctors knew the mother was HIV positive and administered the drugs in hopes of controlling the virus.

Two years later, there is no evidence of HIV in the child's blood.

Rising Criminality in Cagayan de Oro

Criminality in CDO is on the rise.  A Facebook group has already posted a list of criminal incidents in CDO for the past months.  This does not include the criminal activities of gay swindlers mentioned in this blog.
