How to Measure your Penis

I found this article in a Yahoo Groups before.  Sorry could not anymore recall the name of the group.  Anyway this is just a repost of that article.

Using the methods described below you can finally get a medically-accurate measurement of your penis size.

FINDING THE LENGTH

 
Penis length is defined as the linear distance along the dorsal side of the erect penis extending from the mons veneris to the tip of the glans. In terms you and I would understand, this means the penis length is measured in a straight line on the top side of the erect penis, from the skin of your belly to the tip of your penis. Penis circumference is defined as the linear distance around the widest, thickest, part of the erect penis (see below).

1. Stimulate yourself using your method of choice until your cock is hard as a rock.
2. Place your ruler on the skin of your belly, at the base of your erect penis. Do not press in against your belly, why cheat yourself?
3. Press the ruler against your penis and read the nearest measurement at the tip of your penis.
4. Record this number

FINDING THE CIRCUMFERENCE
 
Penis length is not the only factor in determining penis size. The width, girth, or fatness, of a penis is also an important aspect when considering how you compare. Most people have a penis that is either longer and thinner, or shorter and fatter. Use the instructions below to determine your penile circumference (distance around the widest part of your penis).

1. Stimulate yourself using your method of choice until your cock is hard as a rock.
2. Place a fabric ruler or a string end at the widest part of your penis and wrap it carefully around one time. Mark the spot where the string first touches itself.
3. If using string, take the marked string and lay it against the ruler. Read to the nearest measurement.
4. Record this number.

What is a bisexual?  According to Wikipedia, a bisexual is a sexual behavior or an orientation involving physical and/or romantic attraction to both male and female.  In short, you are attracted to both sexes.

There are a lot of issues about bisexuality.  Gay men consider bisexuals as gays in denial.  It is either you are straight or gay.  However, I always ask this question, how about those macho dancers, call boys or male escorts who are straight yet they engage in gay sex or gay acts for the sake of work or money?  Are they still straight or bisexual?  That is why some brand themselves as "tripper" or "open minded" straight guys to differentiate themselves from true bisexuals.  There is also a similar situation in the United States among straight African-American men who enjoys male-to-male sex.  These guys insist that they are simply straight men who enjoy casual gay sex.  This is what they refer to as "being on the Down-Low".

The term "tripper" is sometimes being abused by "discreet" gay guys in the Philippines.  Being "discreet" does not mean you are a "tripper" or a straight guy.  It does not also mean that if you deny your sexuality, you are considered as a "tripper" or a "discreet" guy.  Again we have to distinguish these things clearly to avoid confusion.

I hope this topic about bisexuality would open up more discussion on this issue.  We need to be informed and to know who is the genuine bisexual.

HIV-AIDS cases rise in Cagayan de Oro

In past years, there has been a sudden increase of HIV-AIDS cases in the Philippines, most of which was through male-to-male sex.  Due to this incident, the Department of Health declared an AIDS epidemic outbreak in the Philippines.  There is no better example but here in our own backyard, in Cagayan de Oro City.

For the first time in decades, the HIV-AIDS cases in Cagayan de Oro City has reached double digits.  Here are the full statistics in the past years : 

2008 - 6 cases HIV-AIDS

2009 - 9 cases HIV-AIDS

2010 - 14 cases HIV-AIDS

The average increase of HIV-AIDS cases in CDO is a staggering Fifty (50) percent.  If we follow this trend, this year alone 2011, the HIV-AIDS cases in the city will reach 20 or more and by 2015 we might reach the 100 level.

Do you have to wait to get infected before you realize your mistake?  That is why I appeal to everyone, to every responsible Kagayanon, to do their part in the fight against this disease.  Practice safe sex and be responsible for yourself and others.

Top, Bottom or Versatile

The spa industry in Cagayan de Oro have produced several masseurs, some of which have gone freelance.  These freelance masseurs are now offering hotel and home services to private individuals.  This topic is dedicated to the discussion of these masseurs (male massage therapist) and their services.

Just a word of warning.  Some masseurs are advertising or promoting themselves in blogs.  They would even make up stories just to gain some sympathy.  On the other hand, there are also bad clients or customers who would also make up stories against a certain masseur.  Hopefully through our discussions here, we would find the right masseurs and distinguish the fake complaints.  Please limit your discussion on masseurs based in Cagayan de Oro only.

Proper Condom Use and Lubricants

1.  First, make sure the condom package has not expired.  Never use an expired condom.  Check for air pockets to ensure the condom package has not been damaged or tampered.  Use the latex type condoms.
2. Open a condom by simply tearing off the package.  Do no use your teeth or any sharp object that might damage the condom.  Avoid rushing in wearing the condom to ensure it is correctly worn.

3. Now, pinch gently the extra tip of the condom before unrolling it into the penis.  This will prevent air pockets within the condom that might cause it to break especially during ejaculation.  If you are uncircumcised or uncut, you need to pull back the foreskin from the penis head before placing in the condom.

4.  Before placing the condom to your penis, slowly unroll it with your fingers so you would know which side to place the condom in.  If you mistakenly placed the condom in the wrong side, you have to dispose of it.  The outer side of the condom has probably been contaminated with pre-semen fluids.  This basically defeats the purpose of protecting your partner from your semen.

5.  Unroll the condom (still gently pinching the condom tip) until the penis base.  Remove if possible pubic hair caught in the condom.  For those uncircumcised, you can then roll back your foreskin to your penis head.

6.  Condom breakage is still possible especially through anal and vigorous sex.  It is therefore important to change condoms even in the middle of the act.

7.  After ejaculation, the condom must be disposed off.  Do not reuse the condom.  Carefully slide off the condom from your penis.  Do it in the bathroom or away from your partner.  Make sure there is no spillage.   Wash your hands throughly after disposal (especially anal sex).  This is to avoid contamination both semen and microbes from the anus.

Anal Sex

There is this misconception that only homosexuals and bisexuals engage in Anal Sex.  There is also a growing number of straight men and women who does it.  Some straight women engage in anal sex to avoid pregnancy and at the same time technically preserve their virginity.

Women find it pleasurable as the rectum shares the same wall lining with the vagina and sexual nerves are actually closer on that side, which make the sensation unique, stronger and quite possibly orgasmic.  Men on the other hand gets pleasure from the stimulation of the prostate gland which is also located along the rectum wall.

It is important to empty the rectum of feces before engaging in anal sex.  This is usually done through enema or anal douches.  Professional advise is recommended in performing enema or anal douches as it might damage your internal intestine and cause dependency for bowel movement. 

Anal Douche

The anus contains several sensitive nerve endings that can be stimulated and aid in male and female orgasm.  This can be done through anal play or rimming (using the tongue to stimulate the anus).  However there are health issues regarding this method of stimulation as microbes from feces are present.  This is the most common way of transmitting Hepatitis A, B and other viral infections.

The intestinal walls does not feel any pain.  Therefore foreign objects inserted in the anus might get stuck and cause internal bleeding without knowing it.  Caution is therefore advised.  Avoid sharp or rough objects being inserted in the anus.  Fingernails should be trimmed and piled.  When inserting a foreign object in the anus, make sure the base of the object is wide enough to stop it from being sucked in the anus.  Vegetables are sometimes used for anal masturbation but can leave microorganism in the rectum and breed bacteria.

Heavy lubrication is important in anal sex as the anus does not produce natural lubricants like the vagina.  Water based personal lubricant is recommended.  These are available in local pharmacies here in Cagayan de Oro, such as EZ Lubricating Jelly, KY Jelly and others.  If no water based lubricants are available, saliva or spit is acceptable.  Lotions (body and hand), baby oil and other oil based lubricants are not recommended as it causes skin irritation and fissure of the skin.  Oil based products can also damage or cause condom breakage.

The use of condoms is important to avoid skin (rubbing of skin can cause micro skin fissures or scaring and cause blood exposure) and semen contact which is the common mode of HIV-AIDS transmission, Hepatitis and other viral infections.  Condom breakage is common in anal sex.  Change condom often and apply heavy lubrication (water based or saliva only).

Bleeding of the anus is common during the first anal sex.  To avoid massive bleeding, the anus should be stimulated (fingering) and enough personal lubricants (water based) should be applied.  It will take several tries before total insertion of the penis is achieved.  Insertion of the penis should be done gradually to avoid more anal damage.  After anal sex, flatulence (farting) and bowel movement will become regular since the anal muscles are now loose and could not contract.  Itching will follow a day after as the anus tries to heal.

In some countries, anal sex is considered illegal especially in conservative societies.  In some US States, the Anti-Sodomy laws are still being upheld.  In the Philippines, it is illegal to forcibly engage in sodomy or anal penetration with a women under the Anti-Rape law of 1997 (RA 8353).  However it is not clear if the law includes men.

Oral Sex

Regardless of sexual orientation, oral sex is performed and enjoyed by everyone.  It involves the stimulation of the genitalia (penis or vagina) through the use of mouth, tongue, teeth and throat.  Oral sex performed on women is called Cunnilingus while oral sex performed on men is called Fellatio.

Oral sex has risks of transmitting Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) like Hepatitis, HIV-AIDS and others.  In terms of HIV-AIDS transmission, it is known to have less risk compared to anal and vaginal sex.  Mouth sores and gum problems can pose an increase risk of STI infection.  Brushing of teeth, flossing, eating crunch food soon after or before oral sex can cause microscopic scrapes or scratches in the mouth.  These microscopic viruses can enter through these scrapes and infect the person.  To minimize infection from STI, the use of a condom (penis) and dental dam (mouth) is recommended.  It is for this reason condoms are made in different flavors (chocolate, strawberry, mint, etc...)

Oral hygiene is important when engaging in oral sex.  It can cause bad breath, dental, tonsil and throat problems.  In a medical study, it was suggested that oral sex increases the risk of throat cancer.  Brushing of teeth and flossing is important as long as it is not soon after or before oral sex.  Also the use of mouthwash and lozenges (Strepsils and other brands) is recommended to minimize bacteria growth in the mouth and throat.

HIV / AIDS

Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) was first detected early 1980’s.  There are now 40 million people worldwide infected by this slow  but deadly virus.  The origin of AIDS still remains a mystery.  Some say it was contracted from animals.

AIDS / HIV virus could be found in human fluids.  Concentrated amounts of the virus are found in the Blood and Semen.  There are some traces  found in the saliva and sweat but is said to be negligible.

One could get AIDS-HIV through the following :

• Blood transfusion from an infected person. (blood to blood contact)
• Drug addicts sharing needles. (blood to blood contact)
• Blood contact from an open wound / sore / mouth sores. (blood to blood contact)
• Exchange of bodily fluids through sex. (Anal, Oral and Penile/Vaginal penetration)

AIDS could only be detected through medical lab tests, six (6) months after in contact with an infected person.  Therefore within those six months you are clueless of your situation.  You might or might not have the virus.  Symptoms start to appear only after a year or more being infected.

If you are from Cagayan de Oro City, call the AIDS Hotline number (8822-area code) 72-1189.  This is a service by the City Health Office of Cagayan  de Oro.  They will entertain your questions without malice.  If they do insult or embarrass you in anyway, call the attention of the City Health Officers and report such incident.  These people are supposed to assist you in anyway.

As of 2011, there are now 14 HIV-AIDS cases in Cagayan de Oro compared to 9 cases last year.  HIV AIDS cases in the city has increased 50% year on year.  It is the first time in decades that the HIV-AIDS cases in the city has reached double digit.

If you have suggestions for blog topics and other concerns, send us a Comment.  When posting a Comment, avoid using the "Anonymous" option.  If you have a Google account, then use it.  If not then choose the "Name/URL" option.  Just fill in the Name and leave the URL blank.  In this way, I can easily identify you and respond directly to your concerns.
