Tyron Perez apparent suicide

Tyron Perez was known for his role in Pipo : Ang Batang Pro which dealt with issues on male prostitution and cyber sex.

He was found dead in his car in Valenzuela, Metro Manila.  His wife admits they were having marital problems.

For the first time in decades, the HIV-AIDS case in Cagayan de Oro City has reached double digits.  Here are the full statistics in the past years : 

2008 - 6 cases

2009 - 9 cases

2010 - 14 cases

Based on the statistics, the rate of the viral infection is at Fifty (50) percent annually.  If we follow this trend, this year alone 2011, the HIV-AIDS case in the city will reach close to 30 and by 2015 around 100 people will be infected by the virus.

If you are from Cagayan de Oro City, call the AIDS Hotline number (8822-area code) 72-1189.  This is a service by the City Health Office of Cagayan  de Oro.  They will entertain your questions without malice.  If they do insult or embarrass you in anyway, call the attention of the City Health Officers and report such incident.  These people are supposed to assist you in anyway.

The Truth about Spa's and Masseurs in CDO

I have been reading the comments about spa's and masseurs in this blog.  Some comments are quite revealing, truthful, while some are mere rumors and baseless facts (dakong bakak).  How do I know which is the truth?  Well, I have reliable friends who advise me on this issue and I also visit some of these spa's and tried the services of the masseurs.  Kibalo ko kinsay gaingon ug tinuod ug gapangdaot lang dinhi sa tao.

As for tips, it is necessary to tip a therapist.  Why?  They only get commissions per massage ug pila ra intawon ilang commission per massage.  I suggest you tip your masseur at least 20 or 40 Pesos.  Kung di maayo ug massage do not tip at all.  If he gives a good massage, 50 to 100 pesos is enough.

As for those "extra services", how much should you pay?  According to my Manila friends, 1,500 Pesos is already quite expensive.  Most guys in Manila who are asking that rate are handsome and muscular.  So imagine someone from CDO who is ordinary looking (pangit pa gyud) and is asking for that rate....it is ridiculous, binuang na!  Do not agree to that rate.  If the therapist is going to jack you off, pay around 200 to 300 Pesos only.  If it is sensual massage with extra, then 800 or 600 Pesos is acceptable.


I hope this will clarify the rating system here in CDO.  Ang uban feeling kinsa sila nga gapapresyo.  Mapugos ra na kung wala gyud mo accept sa ilang rate.

Bulag na ta! Its Over!

When you say its over, it should be really over!  You just don't decide in an instant that you want a break up because you were frustrated with your lover.  Some people are too liberal in saying the words "bulag nata" or its over but they don't really mean it.  Unya makigbalik dayon after a week.  I really hate these so called "come backs".  When you say "its over", it means you have thought about your relationship for several days or months and you have decided to finally end it.

Now, after the breakup, do not immediately have sex with another person.  You might regret it. Again, some "break ups" are temporary or what they call a "cool off" stage.  Having sex with another person will just worsen the "cooled off" relationship.

Gay relationships can sometimes be complicated.  So many factors involved.  If you are not matured enough to handle a gay relationship, you should not be in one or else you will loose yourself.

Mr. International Philippines - Kerwin Caballero

I was researching about Cagayan de Oro and found this blog instead which talked about Mr. International Philippines 2009.  Interestingly, candidate number 1 was from Cagayan de Oro City.  The name of the guy is Kerwin Rondez Caballero, 22 years of age (in 2009), 5'10", and modeled part time in Manila.  He is studying Architecture at the Technological Institute of the Philippines and took up high school at St. Mary's Academy in Cagayan de Oro.  However according to the blog, Mr. Caballero withdrew from the competition.

Upcoming DiscreetBai 12th Anniversary

Unknown to many, the name Discreet Bai has been used since the year 2000.  I basically coined the name which was derived from two unlikely words, Discreet and Bai. You can probably say that DiscreetBai established the online gay community in Cagayan de Oro.

I used to celebrate the anniversary of DiscreetBai on November 30 but I was not sure of the date.  The only date I could recall was the day I registered the name DiscreetBai and that was on February 2000.  So, a few years ago I decided to change the anniversary celebration to February.

Gay found dead inside motel in Cagayan de Oro

A gay man was found dead in a motel (High Time) in Kauswagan, Cagayan de Oro City.  The victim was identified as Jesielo Acero, 53 years old from Tagoloan.  

The suspect has been identified as John Lorgene R. Verdejo, 19, a resident of Block 4, Lot 21, Villa Nina Phase I Barangay Balulang of the city.

He is now detained in the Maharlika Detention Center.

If you identify the suspect as a gay swindler, please proceed to the Marharlika Detention Center in Carmen and file legal charges against this person.

Bisaya ka diay?

I had a very funny experience with a hotel receptionist here in CDO.  I was asking the receptionist a question in Visayan (Cebuano).  Instead of replying back in Visayan, she replied back in Tagalog.  So I presumed she was Tagalog, so I replied back in Tagalog, until she uttered a Visayan phrase.  I paused and asked her...Miss....bisaya ka diay?!

I understand that some people are not comfortable writing or speaking in the English language, but two Visayans speaking to each other in Tagalog is weird.  Murag mig mga buang didto sa hotel.  Kibalo ka nga Bisaya imong ka estorya, ngano man gyud Tagalogon nimo?  Nagpasosyal kunuhay sya?  Sorry, but if you want to be called "sosyal" speak to me in English or better yet another foreign language.

Hari ng Negros Male Pageant

Among the provincial male pageants I have known, I think the most well known of them all is Hari ng Negros.  Started around 2003, each town or city in Negros Island (Negros Oriental and Negros Occidental Provinces) sends a male candidate as their representative.  It was a daring idea at that time but it was a success.   They also created an ingenious marketing strategy by using Friendster to draw in fans even outside Negros.  People could vote by posting comments.  Now it has become an annual event in which the Island of Negros could celebrate.  And mind you, the production numbers are top notch, with colorful costumes and props that rivals female pageants.

Movie : Immortals

For those who are fans of the "300" movie, this ones for you.  Produced by the same people behind the "300", Immortals is basically set in Ancient Greece.  The main character Theseus is played by Henry Cavill, who is just an eye candy.  He is so lean and athletic that I would look fat beside him LOL  and Zeus played by Luke Evans....a Greek God indeed.  And don't forget Poseidon played by Kellan Lutz of Twilight.  The movie is quite violent, blood gushing everywhere, half naked men and off course some nudity (female).

Fears on the Anti-Discriminatory Law

The Catholic Church has fears that the passage of the Anti-Discriminatory Law is a slippery slope to the approval of gay union or marriage in the Philippines.  This is B.S.

The Anti-Discriminatory Law is all about protecting people's rights regardless of the person's ethnic, religious and political background.  Though there is no clear indication that it would also include gender or sexual orientation discrimination.

University of the Philippines Oblation Run

Yesterday, University of the Philippines-Diliman once again held its annual oblation run organized by the APO fraternity.  This has been going on since 1977.  According to Wikipedia, it draws its name from the Oblation, a statue of a nude man located in every University of the Philippines campus, which symbolizes "a selfless offering of one’s self to the country."  The event is usually done on December 16, and serves as a protest to contemporary national issues.

Cost of Living with HIV AIDS

HIV carriers can take drugs and minimize the effects of HIV in the body.  How much it costs?  More than what an ordinary Filipino earns in a month.  You have to take several drugs (two to three) in a day as part of an HIV patients antiretroviral treatment for life (until your death you have to take these drugs).  For the first line of drugs, it would cost a person at least 9,000 Pesos per month for the generic type and the second and third drugs are even more expensive.  In the US, it costs a person at least 1,000 US Dollars a month for antiretroviral treatment.

World AIDS Day 2011

Let us all offer a red candle or wear a red ribbon to remember those who have died from AIDS.

Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) was first detected early 1980’s.  There are now 40 million people worldwide infected by this slow  but deadly virus.  The origin of AIDS still remains a mystery.  Some say it was contracted from animals.
AIDS / HIV virus could be found in human fluids.  Concentrated amounts of the virus are found in the Blood and Semen.  There are some traces  found in the saliva and sweat but is said to be negligible.

One could get AIDS-HIV through the following :

• Blood transfusion from an infected person. (blood to blood contact)
• Drug addicts sharing needles. (blood to blood contact)
• Blood contact from an open wound / sore / mouth sores. (blood to blood contact)
• Exchange of bodily fluids through sex. (Anal, Oral and Penile/Vaginal penetration)

AIDS could only be detected through medical lab tests, six (6) months after in contact with an infected person.  Therefore within those six months you are clueless of your situation.  You might or might not have the virus.  Symptoms start to appear only after a year or more being infected.
