Bonifacio Day

Today we celebrate the birth of Andres Bonifacio, the Katipunan leader who fought against the Spanish colonizers.  We usually celebrate the death of our national heroes like Jose Rizal and others but in the case of Bonifacio, his death was a tragic event in Philippine history.  On May 10, 1897, he was executed by the Katipunan for treason.

Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) was first detected early 1980’s.  There are now 40 million people worldwide infected by this slow  but deadly virus.  The origin of AIDS still remains a mystery.  Some say it was contracted from animals.

AIDS / HIV virus could be found in human fluids.  Concentrated amounts of the virus are found in the Blood and Semen.  There are some traces  found in the saliva and sweat but is said to be negligible.

One could get AIDS-HIV through the following :

• Blood transfusion from an infected person. (blood to blood contact)
• Drug addicts sharing needles. (blood to blood contact)
• Blood contact from an open wound / sore / mouth sores. (blood to blood contact)
• Exchange of bodily fluids through sex. (Anal, Oral and Penile/Vaginal penetration)

AIDS could only be detected through medical lab tests, six (6) months after in contact with an infected person.  Therefore within those six months you are clueless of your situation.  You might or might not have the virus.  Symptoms start to appear only after a year or more being infected.

If you are from Cagayan de Oro City, call the AIDS Hotline number (8822-area code) 72-1189.  This is a service by the City Health Office of Cagayan  de Oro.  They will entertain your questions without malice.  If they do insult or embarrass you in anyway, call the attention of the City Health Officers and report such incident.  These people are supposed to assist you in anyway.

As of 2011, there are now 14 HIV-AIDS cases in Cagayan de Oro compared to 9 cases last year.  HIV AIDS cases in the city has increased 50% year on year.  It is the first time in decades that the HIV-AIDS cases in the city has reached double digit.

28 Year Old Gay Guy from Patag infected with HIV

Another gay person has been confirmed to have been infected with HIV in Cagayan de Oro City.  This brings the total number of HIV infected persons to 27 as of 2011.  In 2008 there were only 6 cases of HIV-AIDS and 14 cases last year.

The latest infected person is a 28 year old guy from Barangay Patag.

I tried my hand on some nude photography before but the results were disappointing.  I simply could not get the right pose or effect.  Aside from that, it was difficult to find a willing model (with good body proportions).  After a few photo sessions I decided to abandon nude photography.  I guess I was not meant to be a photographer but a blogger! hahahaha

True Blood Season 4

True Blood is an HBO TV series now on its 4th season.  The show is all about vampires and mythical beings living together in a small southern American town.  Unlike Twilight, this vampire show is quite risque.  It deals with homosexuality, violence and sexy scenes and the men.....whewwwww where will I start :)  I will post their individual photos later on.  True Blood is now being shown in HBO via cable TV.

2011 HIV / AIDS Update in Cagayan de Oro

The Department of Health (DOH) recorded 6 HIV/Aids cases in 2008, 9 in 2009, 14 in 2010, and 23 this year in Cagayan de Oro City, a 50 percent increase year on year.  22 of the 23 HIV carriers are men.

Again this is my call to everyone, please practice safe sex!  Do not wait for it to affect you and your loved ones.

Gays Arrested for Manila Cemetery "Pageant"

Whether you are straight or not, dancing on top of a tomb is inappropriate.  It is a solemn occasion.  Why on hell do you organize an impromptu gay beauty pageant inside the cemetery and worst of all, use the tombs as your stage.  Come on guys or gays, show some decency.  If I see you dancing and mocking the tomb of my loved ones, I will bitch slap you so hard that your make up will stick to your face forever!

Eight people were arrested Monday night for staging an impromptu gay beauty pageant inside the Manila North Cemetery.

 

More than 100 people gathered to watch the scantily-clad transvestites dance on top of tombs, prompting security volunteers to disperse the group.

Many of the pageant's participants escaped arrest.

Police said the arrested suspects, whose names were withheld, desecrated the dead and disturbed other visitors at the cemetery.

Some of those who were nabbed, however, defended their actions, saying they have been holding the event every All Saints' Day.

The suspects will face charges of alarm and scandal and desecration of the dead.

They are currently in the custody of Manila Police District
