Nixon Baban who is currently the chairman of Bangon Kagayan is running for the City Council in District 2. Bangon Kagayan was responsible for raising the issue of illegal mining in Cagayan de Oro which resulted to the arrest of illegal miners in Iponan and illegal Chinese miners. Mao na karon kung inyo tanawon ang Iponan River, tinaw na ang tubig. There are still illegal miners operating in CDO and Misamis Oriental. Let us work together to save our environment not only for our future but for the next generation.
