US gives the same visa privilages to gay couples

This is good news for gay couples married in countries that recognize same-sex marriage.

For example if you are a gay couple from England or Spain, the United States will recognize your status as a married couple as long as your marriage was recognized by your country.  There are several countries around the world that now recognizes same-sex marriage.

As a gay couple you will be given the same privileges and rights as a heterosexual or straight couple upon entering the US.

Now this made me think.  If a married gay couple visits the Philippines, would the Philippine government recognize their civil status?
