Homosexuality in Vietnam is still taboo. That fact that the Vietnamese government allowed this Gay Pride parade to happen is an indication that they are slowly being tolerant of the LGBT community.
Most Asian countries still consider homosexuality as taboo or forbidden. In Singapore and Malaysia, sodomy or anal sex is punishable by law.
The Philippines and Thailand are I guess the only countries in Asia that tolerates the LGBT community.
