Public urged to report cybercrimes

A new police unit in Northern Mindanao has been set up to focus on criminal activities using the internet or electronic gadgets (cellphones or computers).  The Anti-Cybercrime Group - Northern Mindanao (ACG-10) is tasked to deal with cybercrimes in Northern Mindanao.  It is under the supervision of the Regional Anti-Cybercrime Office - Northern Mindanao (RACO - 10).

ACG-10 encourages the public to report criminal acts pertaining to the internet or electronic gadgets.  Example, if someone gets hold of your naked photos or videos and tries to blackmail you, report this to the ACG.

The ACG-10 has already received 54 reports and complaints, and has filed 68 cases. Some investigations are still pending while some have already been filed in court.

Citizens who are victims of cybercrimes can report to RACO-10’s official social network accounts such as Twitter (@npacgrdfl10) and Facebook (PNP-Anticybercrime Group 10). Detailed reports can also be sent through its e-mail address: 10rdfl.emfu.acgroup@gmail.com.

Do not just say...charge to experience!  Report a crime to the police!  These criminals can be placed behind bars if victims cooperate with the police.
