DOH advise OFWs to get HIV-AIDS test

The Department of Health (DOH) is advising OFW's who are sexually active abroad to get HIV-AIDS test before going back to the country.  Since 1984 when HIV-AIDS was first detected in the country, 23 percent of the cases came from OFW's.

HIV tainted blood donations double

According to the Department of Health (DOH), blood donations with HIV have doubled this year.  I would not be surprised at all.  DOH has declared last year a HIV-AIDS epidemic outbreak in the Philippines.  In Cagayan de Oro City alone, HIV-AIDS cases double every year.  By 2015, there will be around 100 HIV-AIDS cases in Cagayan de Oro City.
