"Gay" doctor in Bacolod killed by Facebook pals
When I read the headline, "Bacolod doctor killed by Facebook pals", I immediately suspected that it was another gay hate crime.
The story goes that the "gay" doctor meet the guys in Facebook. They decided to go back to the doctors house for a drink. According to the suspects, the doctor pointed a kitchen knife on one of the suspects and tried to "rape" him. Fortunately neighbors were able to hear the cries of the doctor and were able to catch the suspects.
Lesson for the day? NEVER bring guys home! Especially if more than one.

2 Bayot Gitulis
This is the main headline of Sunstar Suberbalita Cagayan de Oro.
Two gay guys were waiting for a jeep in Carmen at around 2:30 am, when a motorcycle suddenly stopped in front of them and declared a hold up. Not being satisfied, one of the robbers took a stone and smashed it on the victims head.
There was also another robbing incident a few days ago with a similar modus operandi.

Mindanao Has Most Hate Crimes vs Lesbians
It has been an issue for quite sometime now. Aside from hate crimes, gay swindling or theft is also common. So far there are no recorded hate crimes in CDO but it does not mean it could not happen.
