Spa and Masseur Issues

I want to clarify something in this blog.  The issue of naming masseurs here has been resolved months ago.  I posted a survey asking everyone if we should post the names or not.  Majority agreed that the names of the masseurs should be included.

As for masseur or spa comments posted here, everyone is entitled to express his or her opinion.  How would we know if the service is good or bad if people would not say anything about it?  Take for example in restaurants or fastfood chains, they ask customers to rate their establishment or give comments.  Why?  So they (the restaurant) would know their strengths and weaknesses.  

Instead of feeling sad or angry about these comments, use it instead to challenge yourself to do better.  If someone tells you that you are a bad masseur then look at yourself and ask...am I really a bad masseur?  Do I provide the right service to my clients?  Sometimes we do not know our mistakes until someone tells us about it.

In past years, there has been a sudden increase of HIV-AIDS cases in the Philippines, most of which was through male-to-male sex.  The Department of Health has already declared an AIDS epidemic outbreak in the Philippines including Cagayan de Oro City.

For the first time in decades, the HIV-AIDS case in Cagayan de Oro City has reached double digits.  Here are the full statistics in the past years: 

2008 - 6 cases

2009 - 9 cases

2010 - 14 cases
 2011 - 27 cases

Based on the statistics, the rate of the viral infection is at Fifty (50) percent annually.  If we follow this trend, in 2012, the HIV-AIDS cases in the city will reach close to 55 and by 2013 there will be over a 100 people in CDO with HIV-AIDS. 

If you are from Cagayan de Oro City, call the AIDS Hotline number (8822-area code) 72-1189.  This is a service by the City Health Office of Cagayan  de Oro.  They will entertain your questions without malice.  If they do insult or embarrass you in anyway, call the attention of the City Health Officers and report such incident.  These people are supposed to assist you in anyway.

Homophobes of Victory Chapel Christian Center

Members of the Victory Chapel Christian Center protested in front of the Jesus Nazarene Shrine in Cagayan de Oro, holding placards with Biblical messages condemning the annual festivities.  Aside from that they held placards condemning homosexuality as a sin.

I find this disrespectful.  We should RESPECT each others belief and tradition.  I bet the Victory Chapel only targets Christian groups who they believe would not retaliate at them.  I dare them to go to a Mosque and protest in front of Muslim worshipers, telling them they are sinners because they do not believe in Jesus Christ as the one and only savior.  Tanawon nato, di man gyud na sila maka-uli ug buhi.

Who is to blame for the Sendong tragedy?

Here is my take on this matter.  First of all, who was in charge of warning people living in Isla de Oro, Cala-Cala and other flood affected areas?  You can not blame PAGASA because they did post warnings days before Sendong arrived in Mindanao.  And to think this was not the first time flooding in these areas happened.  Remember last January 3, 2009?  The same areas got flooded.  There was a failure in warning these people because hundreds died and dozens still remain missing.  Again, who was in charge of warning these people and preparing them to evacuate?  Answer this question and I think you will know whom to blame.

Black Nazarene Feast

January 9 (Monday) is the feast of the Black Nazarene.  So expect the Black Nazarene image to be paraded again in the streets of Cagayan de Oro.  Traffic napud ni.

The procession will start in 3:30pm from Kolambog, Lapasan Highway (boundary of Gusa and Lapasan).  It will go straight to Lapasan junction beside Ororama Megacenter, would turn right to Agora Market City, turn left to Gaabucayan St., turn left to Julio Pacana St., turn left to Gaisanao City, turn right to Corrales St., turn left to Antonio Luna St., turn left to Osmeña St. and turn left back to Nazareno Parish.

CDO Bangon Logo

I was just checking Facebook Group comments and found a logo for CDO Bangon movement.  It was funny.  At first I said to myself, the photo is strange, why are there men half naked and very sexy?  So I googled it and found the original photo.  Sakpan!  Check out the photo below and compare how the graphic artist simply changed the Rainbow flag to the Philippine flag.  After I made this comment, the photo was immediately removed from the Facebook Group.  Confirmed??

Upcoming DiscreetBai 12th Anniversary

Unknown to many, the name DiscreetBai has been used since the year 2000.  I basically coined the name which was derived from two unlikely words, Discreet and Bai. The creation of DiscreetBai gave birth to the online gay community in Cagayan de Oro City.

I used to celebrate the anniversary of DiscreetBai on November 30 but I was not sure of the date.  The only date I could recall was the day I registered the name DiscreetBai and that was on February 2000.  So, a few years ago I decided to change the anniversary celebration to February.

DiscreetBai's 12th anniversary is fast approaching and I hope I can celebrate it with you all.  If you have any suggestions, please post a comment.  I would like to hear from you guys.  Thanks!
