700 is just ridiculous, unless it is in manila. for cdo, 500 is enough. if you keep giving them a high amount sooner or later they will ask for more. try sanctuary spa. mahal ang spa services but good spa facilities. sanctuary is located near loretos along tomas saco street.

The tip depends on you and your therapist. I usually request for a therapist who can do very hard massage since I need massage every week for years now due to medical condition
ES for me is secondary. A good, a hard and a relaxing massage will suffice to my spa visit.
I usually gave 300 to 1k tip which depends upon on how good is the therapist. If the therapist is lousy and clumsy or new then I gave the 300php tip. Make sure to let be known that's the tip you can afford. By doing so, there's no misunderstanding later.
Please consider their work and how they earn on your payment- it's usually 10-15% of your 250 or 300php you pay at the counter.
They usually perspire when they do their job for me because I demand the hard massage.
If you are still skeptical how tiresome their job, do it to your buddies or friends. And you will realized DILI LALIM ANG MAG MASAHE UNYA 40PHP RA ILA MA DAWAT KUNG DILI KA MAG TIP.

what if the massage is only 250 pesos? you would still give a tip of 300 pesos? for me it is impractical. you do not give more than what you paid for the spa. huna huna baya that the minimum wage sa cdo is around 290 pesos? para nako 50 pesos is enough for an okay massage. kung ganahan ka kaayo, 100 pesos is the maximum. pero one thing we agree on, mag tip gyud sa masahista sa spa. luoy kaayo na sila kay commission basis lang. kung walay mo masahe sa ila, wala silay makuha nga kwarta sa kana nga adlaw. tagaan gyud na ninyo ug tip. kung inot kaayo ka miski 20 pesos nga bill basta lang naay mahatag. ayaw sad sinsilyo ihatag kay dili na sila parking attendants sa divisoria.
As I have said, it is between you and the therapist. Tips are voluntary on your part as client. If it is only 50php you can afford and sincerely given then it is commendable.
Do not compare massuers to park attendant, they are professionals and working for honest living.
On my own survey, they can only service 2-3 clients per day.

A good massage helps to overcome pain and stimulates our energy too.There is nothing wrong if you like to have it everyday if you have a medical condition that needs it and if you can afford to pay the cost of it.

I am also in the same predicament, I have massages everyday whenever I am on vacation especially in Bangkok and here in the Philippines, I get to have a massage at least twice a week. But then again, I would always try out different massage modalities instead of just Deep Tissue work. As it also creates soareness when done everyday. So your comfort level and safety should also be considered.
everyday massage? depends if you really need it. usually those who need massage everyday are people who have disabilities or are paralyzed. it is for therapeutic purposes so that blood would flow through out their body. pero kung wala kay disabilities, murag dili siguro practical kay gasto ra pud. siguro every 2 or 3 days possible pwede or just pirme ka physically stressed. just ask your doctor about it

I do not think all masseurs who offer such services are gay. Like Macho Dancers or call boys, most of them are straight. As you mentioned "walang personalan". For them it is just a job for them to earn easy money. I think the right term for that is "trabaho lang, walang personalan".

my recommendations after checking some spas in cdo. fai thai divisoria branch look for alex. if you want a muscular guy to massage you then alex is the guy. finest thai formerly 3k along capistrano street look for jay-r. he is not handsome or anything but his massage is divine and that includes extra.

i agree with pokerface. we should not allow these masseurs to get spoiled. before the massage starts, ask for the time and then show to the masseur the timer in your phone so that he would be conscious of the time. you paid for 1 hour, you should get 1 hour unless their 1 hour already includes the foot wash and hot towel scrub at the end.

For those who are looking for good massage mas maau sa red fern carmen. Humanon jud ang time, and the massage service is average ( not really excellent, kai so far sa spas in CDO wala jud excellent magmassage base sa akong experience sa mga spa dinhe). As soon as you enter the cubicle, you take off your clothes. If shorts is provided by the spa, use it. If there is no shorts, you can either just wear your underwear or nothing at all.

what is going on with the massage services in cdo. murag pindot pindot lang wala nay gana, murag ga dali, unya extra dayon ang tirada. binuang naman ni. i paid the spa for your services, for massage service, then give me a good massage!
this also happened to me. i wanted to check if the massage was good, so i just wore brief wala ko naghubo. the masseur tried his best to seduce me at the first 15 minutes of the massage. it was stupid and pathetic. after that the massage got worst, murag ga dali na ug walay kusog ang masahe. in short this masseur got used to extra service that he does not anymore know how to give a real massage.
if you want a real good massage plus extra service, then i suggest jayr of finest thai or johny of red fern carmen. it was suggested here and i am happy of the results. keep on giving good advise guys! share also your recommendations. but make sure they are really good massage therapists. we are after good massage, extra service is just extra and nothing else.
