Gay boxer Orlando Cruz

Orlando Cruz is an openly gay boxer from Puerto Rico.  He is currently married to his partner, Jose Manuel. 

Cruz is schedule to fight Terry Flanagan for the WBO Lightweight title on November 26.

Cruz hopes to break gay stereotypes by winning the title.

Gay Puerto Rican Boxer

Puerto Rican boxer Orlando Cruz recently announced that he is gay.  This would probably make him the first openly gay boxer in history.

He came out in the hope of gaining respect both inside and outside the boxing ring.

A few days after his revelation, he defeated Jorge Pazos via unanimous decision giving him an opportunity to soon fight for a world title.
