An official of the United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) called
on the Department of Health (DOH) to escalate efforts in
addressing the problem on HIV and AIDS in the country amid the
continuing increase in the number of cases.
The UNAIDS official said there is a need to initiate more awareness in
terms of educating the public on HIV/AIDS as a form of prevention while
also encouraging them to get counseling and testing.
