This statement of beauty queen Ms. Miriam Quiambao from Twitter caused outrage from the LGBT community in the Philippines. Ms. Quiambao has been vocal against transgenders joining female beauty pageants. She apologized for her statement but the damage has been done.
If you forgot, she won 1st runner up in the 1999 Ms. Universe pageant.
