Ricky Martin became popular through the Puerto Rican boy band, Menudo and from there on launched his singing career. He was known for songs like Livin La Vida Loca, She Bangs and Shake your Bon Bon. In March of 2010, he announced to the world that he is a "fortunate homosexual man".
